I think of more people just took a little time for reflection and planning, it would allow them to be more intentional with their goals and actions and therefore allow them to achieve more in their careers. And Sunday mornings are a great opportunity for that.Īs I sit here with a book, a journal, and my coffee, I’m reflecting on my life and business and planning my week. Owning your career and life starts with self-awareness and self-reflection. ❤️Thank you, Dre (Andreea) Cruceanu for the inspiration to read a bit this Sunday morning. I will be talking with Dr Gotian about her book, The Success Factor, and the four attributes of a high achiever. ?These questions, and others like it, will be answered during this Thursday's live stream on Outpost Gray YouTube with expert Ruth Gotian, Ed.D., M.S. ❓What are some things you can do to become a high achiever? This helped me to achieve great heights in my career and personal life.Įven though I still have that childlike mentality wanting to jump around and learning everything, I realize that to become an expert I must stay focused, learn and grow. ?Through self-reflection, education, and mentors, I learned self-discipline and focus. I had so many dreams and passions that it was hard to stay focused and funnel my energy into one area. The challenge was learning to manage all my energy, curiosity, and motivation. ?This pattern repeated itself as I tried various things throughout my life. I was bored in a year, so I started a different one at 19. I started my first successful business at age 18. ?I graduated high school early and started my first business. I was an athlete and could have received a sports scholarship, then my senior year, I stopped everything because I was bored. ?Before I graduated high school, I had played Piano for 12 years and had a pending music scholarship that I never accepted. ?I had this strange pattern as a kid that I would achieve great heights and right before reaching the peak, I turned away and did something different.
I was a high achiever, but I didn’t realize it till later.
This isn’t fun when you’re in high school. ?At a young age, I was different from others. ❓❓❓What makes someone a high achiever? ?? #qualityoflifematters #selfawareness #coaching #leadselftoleadothers #sustainableenrichment #selfdiscovery #newverme #leadershipdevelopment #personalleadership #hope #calmness #forbes #harvardbusinessreview #internationalcoachingfederation #learninganddevelopment #lifecoaching #leadershipcoach #faculty #facilitation #teams #organisations #entrepreneur #entrepreneurmindset #growthmindset #setboundaries #selfcare #success #individuals #empoweredmindset #growthmindset #selfimage #confidence While you choose to ponder on that, allow me to get back to my Sunday morning tea and palms
How to change the narrative and become a #NewVerMe? How to still make those decisions, focus on the big picture and do what needs to be done? * Our narrative coming from our default self
* Our narrative about being left with ‘no option’ (which imo, is also an option) * Our narrative about decisions we avoid to make (playing ostrich?) * Our narrative about decisions we never thought we’ll have to make What stops us and what guides us - especially in times of those big decisions (small too?) Choosing not to take a decision is also a decision. Or maybe the same ones? Making the decision of what we choose is the only constant. Life surprises us with choices - lots of them and probably ever changing too.
